For anyone potentially contemplating a riding holiday this book should be obligatory reading, representing as it does extremely thorough and rigorous research by the authors. Wherever you may be thinking of going, the odds are, they've been there before you and in the process they have had to make many adjustments of lifestyle and adapted to a wide variety of mounts.
This book is beautifully presented with introductory articles to each country which contain a wealth of practical information as well as painting a picture of each place - one which will undoubtedly inspire you with images of riding through mountains, lush meadows, on golden sands by the shore or even in wild desert regions - whatever your preference you will find it in this book.
There is a page of background information relating to each individual holiday site or centre which will tell you honestly about the type of accommodation you will find, the food, the mount of riding involved and the standard required of you as a rider in order to enjoy it.
Lavishly illustrated with marvellous photographs, you will get a real 'feel' of all the places listed You will also enjoy the book in it's own right thanks to the views of often spectacular scenery and happy holiday makers on horseback - all sure to make you want to gol The wealth of information provided here takes most of the guesswork out of choosing your destination and even if you are not currently thinking of booking a riding holiday I'm sure Great Riding Holidays will prove an enjoyable read. - and will probably change your mind into the bargain!
